This recipe makes about 1 cup equivalent of your daily MyPlate fruit requirement. In general, eating your daily servings of fruits is vital for your health due to its richness in vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber that help prevent many chronic diseases. One serving of this recipe provides about 113% of your daily value of vitamin C, which is scientifically known for its antioxidant power that can boost immunity and strengthen your body’s natural defense. In addition, the honey in the recipe is antioxidant rich and its cough suppressing capacity helps mend upper respiratory infections.
