Papaya with Blueberries (A powerhouse of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds) :
With the COVID-19 pandemic still going on, all we can do is to stay home, take preventive measures (hand washing and social distancing), work, and eat healthy to help our bodies defend if anything were to happen. Papaya and blueberries come with a unique combo to strengthen our immune system even further, because both fruits have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and are also low in calories to help you maintaining a healthy weight.
So make sure these two vital fruits are part of your next grocery list.
INSTRUCTIONS: Wash papaya thoroughly. Cut longitudinally in two halves. Scoop out the seeds, and cut in slices. Peel them to cut into bite size pieces. Rinse blueberries thoroughly with water to get rid of as many pesticides and other residues as possible. Divide the papaya pieces in four equal portions. Serve in a bowl, topped with 2 oz (about 1/3 cup) of blueberries. Enjoy as a healthy and delicious breakfast or afternoon snack, and eat with confidence!
